Paradox of the Holiness

If our presupposition are same that God is holy and righteous.. while the mankind is not holy and not righteous.. then.. 

"the more man get closer to God, he will more realize that he is despicable and unworthy.. If man feels more that he get closer to God, but feels more that he become holy, perhaps he is just feels that.. in fact, he is getting away.."
